Tottenham have made Memphis Depay bid in last few hours

Tottenham Hotspur locked in negotiations with Barcelona for Memphis Depay

With the additions of

Franck Kessie

, Andreas Christensen,

, and

Robert Lewandowski

seems to be making progress in improving their team this summer. But it doesn't look like anyone is leaving, even though the Blaugrana have made it clear who they want to leave.

Memphis Depay

is one of them. The Dutchman was tied for the most goals scored by Barcelona last season, and there was a chance he could have played for them again this year. Raphinha's signing and

Ousmane Dembele

's re-signing have left Memphis without a spot.

He is probably a little upset, but he will have to leave if he wants to play a lot next season. Sport has said that Barcelona wants €20 million for Memphis and that Tottenham is in talks with them. Spurs are not willing to raise their offer of €17 million because he has only one year left on his contract.

Memphis doesn't want to go back to the Premier League right now, so he wants to wait and see if another option opens up. Memphis will want to be in the best shape possible for the World Cup, so it seems unlikely he would stay on the bench at Barcelona. The hardest part will be finding a way out that works for Barcelona and Memphis.
