Maldini advises AC Milan players to 'turn the page'

needs to "turn the page" after their

celebrations. This is because the team's stars are now back at training to defend their Serie A title.

club won the Scudetto for the first time in ten years. They did this by taking the title away from local rivals Inter, dethroning them as Italy's best team.

The team has spent most of the summer and international break relaxing, but Maldini says they need to put their happiness aside and focus on the next task. "After such a great season, the boys got a well-earned break," Maldini told

. "I can still remember those things. "It's important to remember how we won the championship, but we also need to move on and focus on our goals for this season.

"Let's not think about what happened after the

game for a second. It's something that will always be with us, and it's given this group even more confidence, but here we go again. Each year is unique." Maldini also started to think about the Qatar 2022 World Cup. This will be the first time in European soccer history that the World Cup will be held in the middle of the season, which will throw off the usual schedule.

The leader of Milan thinks, though, that teams will adapt, including his own "We have to learn to live with it. We got used to Covid-19, games that were put on hold, and being behind closed doors, so we need to get used to this.
