Define suitable offer - Wrexham owner McElhenney about Ronaldo

The Portugal international’s request to depart Manchester United has seen some humorous response from Wrexham owner and actor Rob McElhenney, who has questioned what does a “suitable” offer for the star player mean.

Cristiano Ronaldo

made a move back to the

Manchester United

last summer when he departed

Juventus

; however, in a season that saw the Red Devils miss out on Champions League football, the Portuguese has reached a point that he is looking for a new club, according to Goal.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has asked to depart the club if he receives a good offer and McElhenney, the co-owner of the Welsh outfit and Ryan Reynolds, has questioned what that would entail.

Departing the club one year into his two-year contract would be an anticlimactic end to his Man United homecoming, although it started with a lot of promises.

Both parties may move on, especially when Erik ten Hag is keen on leaving a mark on the club as he joined as the new boss, but United made it clear that the forward will not be sold.

It is yet to be known what a “suitable offer” for the player is, as they would lose one of the game’s all-time greatest players. In any case, Wrexham do not come close to a suitable bidder.
