Santi Cazorla stays in Qatar
Santi Cazorla to continue stay in Qatar with Al-Sadd
At 37, not many people would doubt that
Santi Cazorlacould still help most La Liga teams somehow. But this is something that will only happen in fans' dreams, not in real life.
Mundo Deportivo announced on Saturday that
Al-Saddand Cazorla would keep working together for another year because their contracts were extended.
Cazorla has been in Qatar since 2020 when he moved there to work for
Xavi Hernandez
, who he used to play with in Spain. After eight months with Javi Gracia, Juanma Lillo, a former assistant coach at Manchester City, will take over for the next season.
The great player who used to play for Villarreal, Arsenal, and
Malaga
had a tough career because of some severe injuries, but his excellent technical skills won him a cult following. Even though he was 35 when he left Villarreal in 2020, he was still one of their best players. Near the end of his time there, he set a beautiful goal for Gerard Moreno.
