Grealish and Kane Congratulate England U19 for Euro 2022 Triumph

In the Friday final of the 2022 European Under-19 Championship, Ian Foster's side came from behind against Israel to win 3-1 after extra time. Many stars have congratulated England's Young Lions after they won the 2022 European Under-19 Championship.

Only five years after their first triumph in the tournament in 2017, the Young Lions roared back after a poor first half. It was a 40th-minute brilliant solo strike from Oscar Gloukh that gave Israel the lead. However, Manchester City’s Callum Doyle equalized for

England

in the second period to take the game into extra time, where the young Aston Villa duo Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Ramsey sealed the victory for England in the extra time. The Young Lions also had to come back from behind against Italy in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Grealish, who broke through at Euro 2020 with England following his final season with the club, was among the stars that congratulated the triumph. The Manchester City midfielder

tweeted

:

"Get in there boys! [A] massive well done to everyone involved

!"

England Captain Harry Kane took the social media to congratulate as well:

"Brilliant lads. Well done and enjoy the celebrations

."

The Euro 2017-winning squad of

England U19

squad included Mason Mount, Reece James, and Aaron Ramsdale, who all have gone on to become senior international players under manager

Gareth Southgate

. Hence, several members of the winning squad will push further to break into the senior setup in the coming years.
