Divock Origi lands in Italy ahead of Milan medical

Former Liverpool striker is set to join Serie A champions AC Milan.

Origi joined Liverpool In 2015. He scored 41 goals and provided 18 assists in 175 competitive matches. The 27-year-old striker scored six goals and provided four assists in 18 competitive games last season and in the end decided to Liverpool after his contract expired.

Belgium international become a cult hero at Liverpool. His comeback-ending double against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals and his stoppage-time winner against Everton in 2019 are two of his most famous goals.

Jurgen Klopp has called Origi a Liverpool legend.

"I will always think of him as a Liverpool legend, and it was a pleasure to work with him

" Jurgen Klopp said.

"He is one of the best players I have ever had. He will always be successful, no matter where he goes. When he leaves, it will be hard. He is definitely a legend in Liverpool."

Origi already agreed on personal terms with Milan months ago and will sign his contract. He will earn €4m per season including add-ons at San Siro.
