Los Angeles FC are going to have a number of new signings to call upon following Giorgio Chiellini’s confirmation of his move to the United States.

Giorgio Chiellini

has said that he will make a move to MLS side Los Angeles as a free agent.

The

Juventus

legend admitted that he is keen on departing Turin when the season is over, putting an end to his 17-year spell with the Bianconeri where he made 425 appearances.

Chiellini also hung up his boots when it comes to international football after their 3-0 loss at the hands of Argentina in the Finalissima between the Euro 2020 and Copa America champions.

The 37-year-old has talked about his wish to use his experience in management or directorial role, once he is retired from playing.

Los Angeles is probably going to be the last club he plays for since Chiellini said on Twitter that he will join them on an 18-month deal.

"I am ready for a new role on the pitch,"

 he said.

"But mentally, I'd also be ready to become a director.

"I'd like to know everything going on around the pitch, inside the offices, but it takes time, patience and desire to sacrifice.

"We'll talk again in a few years and hopefully, I'll have understood the particularities and difficulties of the role.

"My adventure in the USA will prepare me for what will happen next."

Chiellini hopes to improve the defence of the team in the US, who sit four points clear at the Western Conference summit after 14 games.
