Bale shows green light to Cardiff City

Rumors of Bale returning to his hometown have intensified.

Gareth Bale

believes that the football standard in which he competes before the World Cup will not make much difference.

The Welsh star ended his contract with the club after 9 years at

Real Madrid

in the summer and announced that he would leave the team. He helped

reach the World Cup for the first time since the 1958, and rumors have it that he will join teams in Europe or the United States. Cardiff president Mehmet Dalman traveled to UK yesterday to begin talks with the Welsh star and return him to his hometown. While some believe that Bale joining midfield clubs could affect his performance in the World Cup, he disagrees.

"It's something I guess I need to sit down and go through,"

Bale said.

"Not just with my family, but with the manager here [Page], with the physios here that we use, to see what would give me the best chance of being fit come November and December.

"I don't really know if the standard makes too much of a difference. A football game is a football game.

"I feel like I'll never really lose my quality on the ball. I guess it's a conversation to be had.

"I need time to think what's the best move for me, my family, my kids, and hopefully we'll sort that over the summer. I have options."
