Tevez announced retirement from football

Tevez has won many honors at Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus.

Former

Manchester United

and

Manchester City

striker

Carlos Tevez

has confirmed his retirement from football at the age of 38 after the death of his father.

Tevez had recently returned to Argentina and played for his childhood club, Boca Juniors. Tevez lost his father in 2021 and decided to retire despite an offer to continue playing football including a MLS club.

He told

"I have retired, it is confirmed. They offered me many things, including from the United States. But that's it, I have given everything.

"Playing the last year was very difficult but I was able to see my old man. I stopped playing because I lost my number one fan."
