Terzic was appointed as the club’s new coach on Monday and replaced Marco Rose, who was sacked following the culmination of the Bundesliga season.
Rose was only in charge for one season, helping BVB sit second but they were eliminated from theChampions League
in the group stage. They also could not advance through the battle againstRangers
in the Europa League play-off.
Terzic was an interim boss at Dortmund in 2020-21 after Lucien Favre was dismissed and helped the club reach DFB-Pokal glory. He is once again keen on bringing glory to the club.
"I would like to thank all those responsible at BVB around Hans-Joachim Watzke, Sebastian Kehl and Michael Zorc for this great trust, the great opportunity and the huge responsibility that is being handed over to me," said Terzic as he was presented as Dortmund coach.
"But now to you, dear BVB fans. Just under a year ago, we were allowed to celebrate the DFB-Pokal victory in Berlin. But it was far too quiet [due to COVID-19 restrictions].
