Tomori discusses best Serie A strikers and Rapport with Stefano Pioli

Milan defender Fikayo Tomori opened up about his rapport with coach Stefano Pioli and revealed the toughest striker he’s faced in Serie A this season.

Fikayo Tomori

, a

Milan

defender, talked about his relationship with coach

Stefano Pioli

and named the toughest striker he's played against in Serie A this season.

The England international helped the Rossoneri beat

Sassuolo

3-0 on Sunday to win the Scudetto. It was Milan's first Serie A title in 11 years and the club's 19th overall.

Tomori talked about the differences between Serie A and the Premier League in the first part of the interview. He also said that he hopes his first trophy with Milan is "just the beginning." Which of Milan's games this season was the hardest? "It was my birthday on the day we lost to Napoli," the defender said with a smile.

"Jokes aside, the game at the Maradona was harder than those against

Inter

and

Juventus

, and I won't forget the games against Udinese. They are very strong, and it's hard to beat them physically."

And what about the strikers who gave him the most trouble in 2021-22? "Once again, there are several. I think of Lautaro,

Ciro Immobile

, and Victor Osimhen, but I also think of Beto of Udinese. He moves a lot. There are a lot of teams in Serie A, but we're the best." How does he feel about Stefano Pioli?

"He was very important to me. When I make a mistake, he tells me what to do. "It's natural to give everything on the field when you have a coach like him," Tomori said.

Tomori, who is 24 years old, moved from Chelsea to Milan on loan in January 2021. Six months later, Milan made the move permanent. He has been on the team for 62 games and has scored two goals.
