Pep Guardiola experienced an emotional moment when Manchester City won the Premier League after their victory over Aston Villa today.

The title race was so breathtaking in the final days of the

Premier League

season and

Manchester City

endured a nervy first-half performance against

Aston Villa.

Wolves, on the other hand, scored their first goal against Liverpool three minutes into the game. However, Sadio Mane helped the Reds level the game as he netted the equalizer.

Over at Etihad Stadium, meanwhile, Steven Gerard’s Aston Villa started the game on the right foot. They created a number of chances and Matty Cash scored the opener for his side. Then, the ex-Tottenham midfielder, Coutinho, netted the second one for Aston Villa.

Just as it seemed like Man City were down and out, things took a turn. You should not doubt Pep Guardiola’s men.

In just five minutes, Ilkay Gundogan scored a brace while Rodri helped his side take the lead.

Liverpool vanquished Wolves 3-1, courtesy of goals from Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson. However, it was City who won the Premier League by only a single point.

Pep Guardiola

"Pep Guardiola can't cope,"

said Gary Neville on commentary

. "That shot there of him crying says it all"

The City manager then went on to give an interview following the match to express his praise for Villa and say how emotional it was for him and his side.

“The last game is always emotional. Villa are a good team, they gave everything, but the moment we found a goal it changed everything.

“I told them at half-time to play normally. It’s not a normal situation but you have to play as if it is.

He went on to hail Gundogan’s performance.

“Ilkay Gundogan is the best runner in second positions that we have. He is the best at having a sense of the tempo in the final third.

“To win in this country, four times in five years, it’s because these guys are so, so special. Wow, winning at home with our people - it’s the best!

Guardiola was full of admiration and praise for his side and how they won the Premier League title this season.

“I have never seen a team like Liverpool in my life. They have helped us to be a better team, season by season.”

"These guys we are legends."
