While reports indicated that Mbappe had reached a final agreement with Real Madrid, he made a sudden decision to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2025. Under the new contract, he will be paid a very high salary and will be given the authority to decide on a coach, sports director and player sales. Now his team-mate Herrera has expressed his delight at Mbappe's continued presence at PSG, claiming that he can become the best player in the world.

He said:
