Man City’s De Bruyne becomes the Premier League Player of the Year

The City are close to get another Premier League title, with Kevin De Bruyne in the driving force.

Kevin De Bruyne

has received the Premier League Player of the Season award, with

Manchester City

close to winning their four titles in five seasons with remarkable displays.

Notwithstanding having a poor start to the season because the eye injury he suffered in last season’s

Champions League

Final and then suffering another problem at Euro 2020, De Bruyne has gone on to meet the target 15 times in the Premier League this season. He also contributed seven assists.

The 30-year-old found the target three times against Wolves with his weak foot, becoming the first midfielder in the history of

Premier League

to do that.

To ensure the title win, Manchester City have to win the game over Aston Villa, with De Bruyne having been awarded for his stellar efforts.

He last won the award in 2020. Moreover, City may bring in

Erling Haaland

for the next season.

In his last 19 matches in the league, De Bruyne has been involved in a goal every 81 minutes. He won the Premier League Player of the Season award for his remarkable performances.
