Mon 16 May 2022 | 11:01

Ten Hag will start his plans with Manchester United soon.

New

Manchester United

manager Erik Ten Hag has confirmed that he has begun talks with the club over his plans for the summer.

Last month, Ten Hag was named as Manchester United's next manager, and the Dutch, who led

Ajax

to the Eredivisie title this season, drew 2-2 with Vitesse in his last match. After the game, he announced that he would not take part in the post-season program of Ajax, which will be a trip to Curacao, and would focus on Manchester United. Now the Dutch coach has announced that he has started talks with the club for the summer transfer and his plans for the transfer window.

He said:

"Yes, there will be a party tomorrow [Monday] with the entire staff, but that will be it then.

"No, I will not be joining them [to Curacao]. That is correct, I think that's understandable.

"There's a lot of work to be done there [at United]. Of course. There's a lot of work at every club. A manager's job is especially focused on the preparations for next season. And there's a lot of work to be done in that regard.

"Regarding the staff, there are several things that need to be organised. And also regarding the team and over the next several days, or actually as of tomorrow [Monday], we will be focusing on that intensively."
