AC Milan have traveled to Torino to face their rivals Juventus tonight in a very exciting Serie A clash.

The match is one of the biggest matches in Serie A but it has to be said that the two teams’ ranking on the chart is completely different, with Juventus in second and Milan in13th spot.

The teams’ news

What is up with Juventus?

The Serie A champions have been brilliant this season since they have won in nine matches and drew two without losing any. So it seems like Sarri knows how to make the Old Lady an unbeatable champion.

The Italian champions won their last match with a 2-1 result over Lokomotiv Moscow last Wednesday after beating Torino with a 1-0 result and also Genoa with a 2-1 result.

Milan in details

The Rossoneri are one of Serie A giants but it seems like they are sleeping for now. They have recently lost their match against Lazio with a 2-1 result after beating SPAL 1-0 two weeks ago.

Milan are currently second in Serie A with 29 points while Milan is 13th with 13 points.

Juventus absentees

Juve fans were so stressed about the health of their star, Cristiano Ronaldo since he has picked up a knee injury during Juve's Champions League clash with Lokomotiv during the week, but fortunately, the 34-year-old will be back for tonight’s clash.

This is as Sarri will miss Giorgio Chiellini, Mattia Perin, and Pjaca again, while Matthijs de Ligt will also be out due to his ankle injury.

Milan absentees

On the other side of the pitch, Samu Castillejo and Musacchio are going to be out because of a muscular problem, while Suso is also a doubt due to injury.

Teams’ background

Looking through history books, these are the facts worth mentioning here:

First, we have to mention that this will be the 169th Serie A meeting between Juventus and AC Milan with the Bianconeri winning 65, losing 49 and drawing 54.

Juventus have won their entire home Serie A encounters against AC Milan since they started playing at the Juventus Stadium: eight wins, with 17 goals in total.

Eight of Juventus’ nine victories in Serie A this season have been by one goal margin: more than any other side in the top-5 European Leagues 2019/20.

We also have to mention that  Maurizio Sarri has won each of his first seven home games with Juventus in all competitions, also achieved by Massimiliano Allegri. In fact, only four managers have done so previously with Juventus; Cesarini, Parola, Deschamps & Trapattoni.

AC Milan are currently 11th in the Serie A table, their lowest placing after the opening 11 games of a Serie A season.

The Rossoneri have lost three of their first five top-flight encounters away from home this season, winning the other two. This is as many defeats as in their previous 14 away games in the competition.

It is good to mention that no side have gained more points thanks to goals scored in the last 30 minutes of play in Serie A 2019/20 than Juventus and also Atalanta. In contrast, AC Milan have lost seven points in the same period which is more points than any other side.

Excluding blocked shots, AC Milan have the lowest shooting accuracy percentage in the Serie A this season whilst Juventus are fourth in this ranking.

Star facts

To talk about the stars facts we have to say that Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has scored six goals in Serie A against AC Milan. In fact, he has only bagged more goals against Lazio and Udinese with seven, in the competition: five of these goals have been netted in five home encounters vs the Rossoneri with one goal per game.

Milan star, Krzysztof Piatek has scored three goals with his first 30 shots with AC Milan in the Serie A this season, after 30 shots last season with Genoa in the competition he had already netted nine goals.
