Official: Haaland joins Manchester City in a £51 million deal

"Manchester City can confirm we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022. The transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player."

According to

, the Sky Blues will announce Erling Haaland's move within the next 24 hours. Manchester City paid little over £51 million for the striker's release clause, which will rise to £85.6 million if middleman commissions are factored in.

The agreement agreed by the Norwegian striker would see him earn almost £400,000 per week, which is comparable to Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne's earnings.
