Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, claims that 'everyone knows the situation' with Erling Haaland, but that Man City and Dortmund have prevented him from publicizing the agreement.

The Norwegian sensation is expected to join the

this summer after the two clubs reached an agreement on personal terms.

Haaland is obtainable for £62 million this summer according to a clause in his agreement, and he's ready to join the

Premier League

heavyweights barely a year after City's £150 million deal for

Harry Kane

was thwarted.

Despite the fact that a settlement has been reached, fans are still waiting for word.

Guardiola, on the other hand, has practically confirmed the agreement by revealing that the

club has urged him not to publicize Haaland's acquisition.

"Everybody knows the situation but I shouldn't talk because I don't like to talk about the future, next season." the Spaniard said in the pre-match press conference.

Borussia Dortmund

and Man City have told me that I am not allowed to say something [about Erling Haaland] until it is done. I am sorry but I am not allowed to talk.

"I'd love to talk, they tell me don't say anything until the legal actions [are done]. We'll have time to talk, not because I don't want."

With Haaland's signing, City will ultimately be able to supplant Sergio Aguero, who left the Etihad in the summer.

The Norwegian talisman came close to joining Manchester United in 2020, but the Red Devils refused to include a release clause in his contract.

Guardiola continued discussing his squad's fitness and their Premier League hopes:

"Nothing changed after the game against Newcastle. We are who we are for the next three games, with the players we have. We have problems in one department, the others will solve it.

"Hopefully we can win the Premier League. It happens last year. Both teams have done another impressive season. We know what we have to do, we'll try. Tomorrow is a final, an opportunity to arrive at the last game with the title in our hands. It's massive.

"We have a number nine, new players in the squad, some from the academy who come up next season. New players always help me try to be stronger, not a good defender will solve defensive problems and not a good striker will solve scoring problems."

The Catalan tactician lauded the

"It's not about the last result at Stamford Bridge. In the Premier League, the facts are here, for many reasons. The transitions with [Leander] Dendoncker, the counter play, the personality, the back five many years playing this system.

"The games they win, we know how good the team is. Hopefully we recover well from this last week and we can do a good game. This is the most important thing in our heads."
