Inter's Perisic wants to stay focused on titles rather than his future
Inter winger Ivan Perisic isn't sure what the future holds for him, but for the time being, his main worry is winning the Scudetto and Coppa Italia with Inter.
The 33-year-old stressed the importance of concentrating on the game rather than being sidetracked by extraneous issues in an interview with Italian channel DAZN before the Nerazzurri's
Serie Amatch against Roma this evening.
Perisic's current contract is slated to expire at the end of June, but the club is apparently aiming to extend it due to his significance to the squad this season.
Nothing definitive has been sorted out about the wingback's status thus far, and part of the reason for this is that the squad is in the midst of the most vital portion of their season in terms of trophy contention.
Interwill play six more pivotal Serie A matches, as well as a
Coppa Italiafinal against Juventus, in the coming weeks, and Perisic's immediate concentration is on them, but his future will be decided later.
“I’m only talking about my present, and on the matches that remain,” he said. “We’ll talk about my future later.”
