West Ham not interested in selling Declan Rice this summer

Even if Declan Rice does not sign a new deal, West Ham United will not move him this summer.

Declan Rice

has reportedly turned down multiple new contract offers and is considering departing this summer.

West Ham

will not allow this to happen, and they are in a strong position to do so because Rice is under contract until the summer of 2025.

His current contract expires in the summer of 2024, but West Ham can extend it for another year. If Rice does not sign a new contract by the summer of 2023, West Ham will be willing to sell him for the right price. When asked by

Sky Sports

if the rumors about Rice leaving West Ham were just that, and if he'd heard anything, Moyes replied: "I wouldn't tell you if I had overheard something.

"But the best thing to say is 'no, we haven't,' and believe me when I say he isn't for sale. As a result, any questions about Declan may be put to rest, but we do expect them because he's doing so well.

"Is he a one-of-a-kind individual? When I was at Everton, I had to sell

Wayne Rooney

early. I thought Wayne was irreplaceable, but in football, you have to move on. In football, this is what happens." Things like this do happen from time to time, but we have no intention of allowing it to happen at West Ham right now."

When reporters previously asked if £150 million was a fair price for Rice, Moyes responded: "It will be north of that if you are interested. Last summer, a hundred dollars was a bargain. Currently, $150 would be the bare minimum, but he is not for sale. What I do know is that it means that only a select few clubs will consider it."

Rice, according to Moyes, has been one of

's best players in recent months, adding: "He was England's best performer at the Euros, in my opinion. The most dependable performer.

"Some of the players are currently performing exceptionally well, such as Harry Kane, but if you look at it from the start of the season to where we are now, I'd place Declan in that very high consistent group."
