Aaron Ramsey may miss Europa League semi-finals due to injury

The Welsh loanee has sustained another injury when replace during his side’s clash against Celtic.

Aaron Ramsey

has been pushing to live up to the expectations since his move from

Juventus

, notwithstanding netting in his Old Firm debut at Ibrox.

The 31-year-old was also important to

Rangers

’ progress against Braga; however, he has now sustained yet another injury setback.

Ramsey had to be treated by the Light Blues’ medical team in the first half of the game against Celtic and was then replaced by Scott Wright.

The midfielder seemed to be holding his hamstring while going down the tunnel.

Rangers pushed hard to grab a late victory against their rivals courtesy of Scott Arfield’s equalizer and Fashion Sakala’s late winner.

Their victory in the Scottish Cup semi-finals means they progress to the final and the ex-Arsenal player may miss that showdown.

Giovanni Van Bronckhorst said:

"He had some problems with his hamstring.

“So we need to assess it but of course I think he has something.

"We don’t know yet what it is but he couldn’t play on, so it looks like an injury, yes.”

Ramsey’s setback could also be a big blow to the Light Blues as their Europa League semi-final game with

RB Leipzig

is close.
