Bonucci feels irritated Juventus didn't manage to beat Bologna

Leonardo Bonucci isn't happy that Juventus didn't win against nine-man Bologna, but he is angry that Juventus didn't win.

A late equalizer has left

Leonardo Bonucci

feeling less relieved and more annoyed that

Juventus

were unable to defeat nine-man

Bologna

, but the Italian forward admits he was readying himself to take a penalty. The Bianconeri salvaged a point against Bologna in stoppage time thanks to a header from Dusan Vlahovic, who canceled out

Marko Arnautovic

's opening.

When Juventus equalized, they continued to press and apply pressure, and Bonucci believes that a little more sharpness might have resulted in a second goal, given that they were down two men. "It's a shame because those three points could have meant a great deal to us," says the manager.

Alvaro Morata

went down and the referee requested an on-field video assistant review, ultimately deciding not to award a penalty but rather a free kick on the edge of the box and sending Adama Soumaoro to the standby. Bonucci had been debating with coach Max Allegri about whether or not he would take the penalty kick prior to the final decision being made clear.

"On the pitch, it appeared as if the contact had occurred within the area, but we have VAR that can pinpoint the exact location, so there was no longer any question. However, even with the video evidence, there was still some ambiguity, as DAZN refereeing expert Luca Marelli at first stated that the foul was clearly within the box before later revising his position.

Rather than closing the gap on

Napoli

for third place, Juventus now runs the risk of being overtaken by Roma for fourth. "The pressure is constant when you play for Juventus, and this is true both on and off the field.

In other cases, the supporters might assist you in bringing something additional to the surface, as was the case today thanks to the support of the audience. "We tried our best to win this evening, but we were unsuccessful, which is a disappointment."
