Tottenham set to battle Juventus for Matthias Ginter

For a long time, Juventus has been interested in signing Matthias Ginter in the summer, but they will now have competition from an Antonio Conte-led Tottenham.

With Borussia Monchengladbach, the 28-year-old German defender has enjoyed a particularly productive season, appearing in all but three Bundesliga games as he continues to demonstrate his ability in the middle of the defense.

His contract with the German club ends at the conclusion of this season, and a renewal is not in the cards for the time being. According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham are extremely interested in signing Ginter on a free transfer in the summer and are hoping to fight out competition from Juventus, West Ham United, and Aston Villa for his services.

While the Bianconeri are preparing to phase out Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci in the coming years, they are trying to add a bit of youth to their backline. Ginter is a tactically versatile midfielder who can also play as a defensive midfielder, which makes him a desirable choice.
