A series of medical issues have hampered the player's World Cup chances.

Borussia Dortmundafter just six minutes of action. Reyna, who has dealt with injuries all season, was consoled by teammates as he exited Friday's game against
Stuttgart
.
He had only just returned from a long-term hamstring injury. Reyna has missed more than 100 days to injury this season alone, as muscles in his legs have repeatedly let him down.
He's trying to be at full fitness and form for the 2022 World Cup in
Qatar
, and so the latest setback had a harsh emotional effect.
