Allegri's mentor Galeone says Juventus need high-quality stars

Giovanni Galeone, Allegri's mentor, has disclosed which players Juventus needs to increase the team's level.

Paulo Dybala

will leave Turin after his contract in June, as the Old Lady has opted not to extend the 28-year-contract.

Juventus

' 16-game unbeaten streak came to an end against

Inter

on Sunday, and they are now eight points behind the league leaders.

Massimiliano Allegri

stated on Sunday that Juventus' goal for next season is to be a title contender.

On the other hand, what will the Serie A heavyweights require from the market next season?  "To add quality in the final third, Juventus requires players with excellent technical value. They require a replacement for Dybala, such as Miralem Pjanic, and someone to assist Dusan Vlahovic." Since joining Juventus in the January transfer window, the Serbian international's goals per minute ratio has dropped.

"New players, on the other hand, should be physically powerful," Galeone continued. "Sami Khedira,

Dani Alves

, and Mario Mandzukic were part of the side that twice reached the Champions League Final. Players who knew how to keep their feet on the ground.

"Juventus used to buy the best players in Italy, such as Miralem Pjanic and Gonzalo Higuain. Now is the time for them to follow suit. They did it with Vlahovic, and

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

should follow suit. Antonio Rudiger and Ousmane Dembélé of Barcelona would be fantastic foreign additions."

Vlahovic, according to Galeone, needs to improve and is compared to Stephan El Shaarawy. "Vlahovic is a good player, but he needs to develop if he wants to play for Juventus. He is aware of this, and the club is as well.

"From Genoa, El Shaarawy joined Allegri's Milan. He was used to exercising with Il Grifone until he met Thiago Silva and Alessandro Nesta in Milan. He realized that what he was doing in Genoa was no longer sufficient and that he required additional assistance."
