Real Madrid victory was utterly magical - Putellas

Barcelona booked their place in the semi-final with a win against Real Madrid.

After a record-breaking night in the Women's Champions League,

praised

Barcelona

's victory over

Real Madrid

at the Camp Nou.

Ballon d'O winner Putellas scored the fourth goal in the 5-2 victory to give Barca a 8-3 lead on aggregate and the promotion to the semi-finals. While 91,553 fans were present in the stadium, the Blaugrana fell behind in the first half, but in the second half they won with a good performance and qualified for the next round of the competition.

He said:

"This has been utterly magical. When the match finished, the fans simply didn't want to go home. There was such a connection between them and us while we celebrated. To hear them singing that they want to go to Turin was superb."

Barca will face Arsenal or Wolfsburg in the semi-finals and the final will be played at the Allianz Stadium, home to Juventus. The Blaugrana won the competition last season and are fighting to defend their title.
