Pedro Rodriguez called Stamford Bridge and the Stadio Olimpico home as he lived in some of the classiest destinations in Europe. However, he is now thinking about going home.
Part of the remarkable Wembley performance of
Barcelonain 2011’s
Champions Leaguefinal,
Pedro Rodriguez
decided to move to England, where he had a five-year spell with
Chelsea. He made a move to Roma two summers ago but Jose Mourinho deemed him surplus to his requirements.
“
I have one year left in my contract with Lazio, and I’ll decide what to do once it’s over. For now, I’ll stay here. I think I can still play football for one or two years,”
he told Radio Marca, as referenced by Football Italia.
“
I leave everything open for the future even if there are a few personal aspects I must consider,”
he admitted.
Pedro insisted that his family may have a great role in his next move.
“I’d like to be closer to Barcelona to stay with my sons. Football has some negatives, it limits your personal life sometimes, you can miss out on many things because of football.”
Although it is unlikely for him to go back to Barcelona, Pedro is Lazio’s starting calibre forward as they are aiming for a Europa League spot in Serie A.
