Maguire not fit for United captaincy - Elmohamady
Ahmed Elmohamady has revealed that Harry Maguire "doesn't have the level to play for the biggest team in the history of England".

believes that the defender cannot handle the captaincy pressure at
Manchester United.
When the Red Devils spent £80 million ($126m) to acquire the services of Maguire from
Leicesterin 2019, he became the world’s most expensive defender.
During his first six month with the Premier League giants, he was impressive and received the captain armband; however, after that, he has been having a hard time finding consistency.
From 2014 to 2017, Maguire and Elmohamady played together at Hull City and his former teammate believes the United player doesn’t have the quality to feature for the Red Devils, let alone be the captain.
The Egyptian, who hit free agency after departing Aston Villa last year, believes Cristiano Ronaldo is a better option for captaincy.

Harry was with me in Hull City and, in my opinion, he doesn't have the level to be the Manchester United captain,"
Elmohamady told beIN Sports.
"Man Utd need a player with a strong personality and I hope that the next manager will give the captaincy to Ronaldo if he stays.
"Ronaldo can handle this responsibility and pressure; however, Maguire can't handle this pressure.
"So I think that the pressure he has by wearing the captain's armband is affecting his performances.
"Maguire performed really well with Leicester, a team that competes to be in the top six of the Premier League and maybe this is his level.
"He doesn't have the level to play for the biggest team in the history of England."
Maguire has featured in 137 matches for United, with 30 coming this season. He met the back of the net seven times and provided five assists, but has yet to win a silverware with United.
Ralf Rangnick also spoke about the captaincy speculations, saying:
"I have never spoken with any player about a possible change of captaincy, this has never been an issue for me.
"It's me who decides who's captain. Harry is our captain and will stay our captain until the end of the season and there is nothing else to that."
