Sergio Aguerohas opened up his condition after realizing he had a serious heart problem and was forced to retire.
Aguero was forced to retire from football this autumn, a few months after moving to
Barcelonaas a free agent. He announced at his retirement ceremony that his heart condition had forced him to say goodbye to football, and now, on Twitch, he described his condition at the time.
He said on Twitch:
"The first 15 days I had a terrible time.
"When it happened, I thought it was nothing and that I was going to be fine, but when I arrived in the hospital and they left me in a small room alone with a lot of monitors around me, I realized something was bad. And after two days hospitalized, I started to become nervous."
He also confirmed that surgery had been performed on his heart and that doctors had placed a microchip in his chest that is constantly monitoring his heart rate.
Aguero is known as one of the best strikers of his generation and won many honors with Manchester City and is known as the best goal scorer in the history of the club.
