Carlo Ancelotti will have his French striker back for their Copa del Rey clash.
The La Liga leaders are expecting their French superstarKarim Benzema
back for their next Copa del Rey clash againstAthletic Bilbao
, which will be at the beginning of next month. The French striker was substituted inReal Madrid’s
last La Liga clash againstElche
suffering from some pain in his knee which made the medical staff worry about a hamstring injury and although
men managed to get away from a bad home defeat in the game that Elche had a 2-0 victory for a big period of the time, Benzema’s injury was still bad news for the fans.
And now, after spending hours under observation by medical staff on Monday, it has been confirmed that he suffers a strain to his left hamstring, and although he must have a confirmatory scan on the injury on Tuesday, he will be probably fit for his side’s next clash which will be in a week.
Real Madrid fans and Carlo Ancelotti know the importance of the France international, who has scored 24 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions and provided nine assists so far this season, and knowing that his injury is not that serious can be the best news for them as they are trying to win as many trophies as they can this year that they have finally reached their ideal form with Ancelotti’s return.
