Comoros may be without any goalkeepers in their next AFCON clash due to Covid-19.

Comoros

has been struggling with Covid-19 cases, and this has gone so far that they may be without any goalkeepers in their first Africa Cup of Nations knockout clash, added to their injury problems. The island nation’s progress to the knockout round was a surprise to everyone, including themselves, but now they have made it this far, and they will face

Cameroon

in their round of 16 clash.

Despite their unexpected progress in the competition, they are struggling with the injuries and Covid-19 cases in their squad, which can keep them from reaching the next round.

“We try to deal with it the best we can,"

Comoros general manager El Hadad Himidi explained

“Without the coach, some major players and the two remaining goalkeepers, the situation is quite difficult.”

will miss their side’s next match after testing positive for Covid-19, and their first choice
