Real Madrid's headache over five players contract extension

Three players are expected to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Real Madrid

executives have a tough plan to extend their contracts in the next few months.

Four Real Madrid players will be free agents at the end of the season and two more are waiting for their contract to be extended.

Los Blancos are currently trying to reach an agreement with

Luka Modric

, who continues to shine at the age of 36. The club has reached an agreement with the Croatian star and the contract is expected to be extended in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the other three players will end their contracts at the end of the season.

Gareth Bale

, Isco and Marcelo are the three players who are free agents at the end of the season, and Real Madrid do not intend to take a step towards extending their contracts. All three players are expected to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, including Marcelo, the club's legend, who could become the most decorated player in the club's history if he wins any trophy by the end of the season.

On the other hand, Real need to improve the contract of Vinicius Jr. The superstar Santiago Bernabeu is still one of the lowest paid players in the first team. A significant salary increase is expected in his contract. The other player that Real is trying to extend is Marco Asensio, who has a contract with the club until 2023, but he is not on the club's list of priorities and there will be no news of his extension at the moment.
