Michail Antonio extends his deal with the Hammers

West ham has signed a new contract with Michail Antonio committing him until 2025.

West Ham

has reached a new deal with the Jamaican international

Michail Antonio

, committing him to the club until 2025, according to the reports.

The 31-year-old has proved himself as an important part of the

Hammers

’ squad in their last and current campaign and had a big role in their Europa League performance scoring their first goal against Dinamo Zagreb and helping them a lot in their next games in the group stage of the competition and had a big part in the progress to the next round.

Antonio has scored eight goals and provided five assists for the Hammers in the Premier League this season, so West Ham’s decision of extending his contract was predictable, but an interesting part of his new deal with the Premier League side is the fact that he had a two-year extension option in his contract which would have ended in 2023.

Despite the player’s impressive performance, the Hammers are looking to add another striker to their squad to help him upfront, and they have been interested in

Flamengo's

Gabigol

for a long time, but the Brazilian side has been interested in a permanent transfer instead of a loan deal which is West Ham’s preference.
