Napoli’s manager Spalletti joins the long list of Napoli’s absentees against Juventus.

Luciano Spalletti

has tested positive for Covid-19 and will not be with his side in their Serie A clash against

, but he is not Napoli’s only Covid-19 case as they have been ravaged by coronavirus issues over the mid-season break, and they are in a critical situation ahead of their away clash against Juventus on Thursday.

Spalletti returned a positive test on Tuesday and has been in self-isolation since then, but it wasn’t their only bad news on Tuesday as they saw

Mario Rui

and fellow full-back

Kevin Malcuit

were isolating, while

Andrea Petagna

came into close contact with a positive case but was later given the all-clear.

Other players who are going to be absent against Juventus include

Hirving Lozano

, who has been a regular starter for Spalletti’s men,

Victor Osimhen

Fabian Ruiz

, and

Eljif Elmas

, who are also important players for Napoli.

There have been reports about the possibility of the game’s postponement, which doesn’t seem like a bad idea considering Napoli’s situation, but it requires local health authorities’ order, which would ban Napoli from traveling to Turin and cancel their clash against Juventus.
