Monaco appoint Philippe Clement as new manager
Monaco have named Philippe Clement as their new manager two days after firing Niko Kovac as their head coach.
Clement comes to the Ligue 1 club from Belgian side
Club Brugge, where he had been in charge since 2019.
He led them to the Belgian Pro League championship in each of his two full seasons in charge, as well as the Belgian Super Cup in 2021.

's replacement in July 2020 on a three-year contract. In his first full season in charge, Kovac finished third.

Shakhtar Donetskin the Champions League qualification play-off rounds in August and are now sixth in Ligue 1 after 19 games.
They won three of their last four league games in 2021, but they announced on Saturday that Kovac had been dismissed from his responsibilities.
Monaco beat
Quevilly Rouen 3-1the next day in the Coupe de France, and their Ligue 1 season will get underway the following Sunday when they travel to
Nantes.
