Coutinho wants to leave Barcelona for Arsenal

Thu 30 December 2021 | 11:33

The Brazilian star hopes to leave the Nou Camp and find a good opportunity to play.

Barcelona

star

Philippe Coutinho

has agreed to leave Barcelona in the coming weeks and is considering a loan move to

Arsenal

.

The 29-year-old star has played 16 games this season but has not had much of an opportunity under Xavi and is currently a priority with young players who have been transferred from the academy to the first team. Ferran Jutgla and Ez Abde, along with Memphis Depay, Martin Braithwaite, Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati, Gavi and new signing Ferran Torres are among the players who are prior than Coutinho.

Coutinho knows he will not have much time, and with the 2022 World Cup coming up, he intends to join the Brazilian national team, and given his current situation at Barca and his continued presence at the Nou Camp, he has a little chance to play in Qatar. He has played 63 games for Brazil and has not played for the team in the last 12 months.

Sport claim that Coutinho's agent is working on three options: Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton. But Arsenal seem to be Coutinho's preferred option and he intends to play the rest of the season at the Emirates Stadium.
