Milan face major problem to sign a defender

There have been major problems in attracting a defender for the Rossoneri.

Milan

are struggling to find a new defender and

Lille

are asking for € 30 million for Sven Botman, and West Ham have no plans to sell Issa Diop.

The Rossoneri are looking for a replacement for their defender after losing Simone Kjaer due to injury at the end of the season. According to various sources, Botman, who will soon be 22 years old and joined Lille from Ajax in 2020 with 8 million euros, is one of Milan's options. However, some media outlets have claimed that Lille is asking for € 30 million for his defender, which is much higher than his price. But Milan's job has been very difficult since

Newcastle

also wanted to sign Botman. The Saudi Investment Fund recently bought shares in Newcastle and has a substantial budget.

Milan's other option is Newcastle defender Issa Diop, but there is a big problem with him as well. After Angelo Ogbonna's injury, West Ham are reluctant to sell their defender and need him at least until the end of the season. The French defender will turn 25 next month and his contract is valid until 2023. He has played 13 games for West Ham this season and has been on the bench most of the season.
