Senegal has called up Mane for AFCON

Mane, Koulibaly and Sarr are in Senegal’s list of players for AFCON.

has announced the list of their players for the

AFCON

, and despite the Premier League clubs’ concerns, there are some players in their list that play in the Premier League, including

Liverpool’s

high-profile star

Sadio Mane

who has been one of the most important players in Jurgen Klopp’s squad and missing him in the Reds’ decisive period of the season can be the worst news for them added to the concerns about the Covid-19 outbreak.

Mane is the reigning African player of the year, and his presence could be so important for Senegal as they are aiming to win the competition after ending it in second place in the last edition in Egypt in 2019.

Senegal’s head coach

Aliou Cisse

has named 27 players for his Afcon squad, including

Koulibaly

of Napoli and Watford's

Ismaila Sarr

, despite their recent injury problems.

Koulibaly has not played any games since picking a thigh strain at the beginning of the month, and Sarr has been suffering a knee injury.
