PL players may join their teams for AFCON a little late

Premier League clubs are concerned about sending their players to Africa for national duty.

There are concerns about the Premier League players whose national teams play in

AFCON

considering the outbreak of the coronavirus, and the rise of the Covid-19 cases in Europe and the world and The World Leagues Forum has written a message to

FIFA

and

CAF

insisting that Premier League clubs won't let their players join their national teams until 2 January.

The competition is going to start on 9 January 2022 in Cameroon, and the Premier League clubs are afraid of sending their players to help their national teams at that time as it is a crucial period of the season and added to that, there are big concerns about the Omicron Covid-19 variant one of these Premier League clubs that have very big concerns about the matter is

Liverpool

as they have two of their most important players

Mohamed Salah

and

Sadio mane

who are from Africa and their national teams are going to play in the tournament.

World Leagues Forum represents the domestic competitions around the world, and no one knows how much they can do about this matter right now, but they are working to solve this problem, and we have to wait and see what happens in the time of that competition.
