Arsenal reaches EFL Cup’s semi-finals

The Gunners reach the next stage in the EFL Cup by defeating Sunderland.

Eddie Nketiah

made a hat-trick in the competition that he has shown so many good performances.

Nicolas Pepe

has also scored a goal for

Mikel Arteta’s

side in the 27th minute after Nketiah’s opener in the 17th minute of the game to give the home side a two-goal lead, but the visitors managed to pull one back in the 31st minute to enter the locker room with some hope.

The Gunners started the second half in a dominating style scoring two goals in the first 15 minutes of the game as Nketiah managed to complete his hat-trick with the goals that he scored in 49 and 58th minutes.

A 4-1 victory didn’t seem to be enough for the north London side as they kept pushing the opposition until they finally made it 5-1 with

Charlie Patino’s

goal in the 91st minute of the game.

Mikel Arteta’s men had 19 shots, and 10 of them were on target, which shows the quality of their performance alongside their 90% pass accuracy and 69% possession.
