Omar Marmoush was replaced after the penalty, as Wolfsburg supporters booed their on-loan Egyptian striker for his audacious effort from the spot.

Speaking after the game, Marmoush issued an apology to Wolfsburg fans, explaining he did not mean to disrespect.

“I tried to secure victory for my team with the penalty. I always have respect for our opponents and especially Vfl Wolfsburg. To whom I owe a lot. I’m sorry for how I shot the penalty, maybe I gave the wrong impression,”
