Chelsea becomes the club of the year
Chelsea has been named as the club of the year in the 2021 Ballon d’Or.
During the 2021 Ballon d’Or ceremony,
Chelseahas won the Club of the Year title because of their performance in both men's and women's football.
Tuchel’s
side has won the Champions League for the second time in the club’s history, and now they are sitting first in the Premier League, and the club’s women have managed to win WSL under
Emma Hayes
.
The Blues have been doing great in this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, not only winning the best club award but introducing many players as nominees for different titles, including
Edouard Mendy, who saw only Gianluigi Donnarumma ahead of him in the race for the Yashin Trophy for the best goalkeeper of the year, and
Jorginhositting third in the Ballon d’Or final list only behind Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski as well as
Kante, who is ranked fifth in the list.
Chelsea have been experiencing a different position in both domestic and continental competitions since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival, and they are looking to win the Premier League this season, and Thomas Tuchel, who had attended the ceremony, has said that he is proud of what they have achieved and what they are looking for, but the Bules’ women couldn’t attend the ceremony because they are on international break.
