Juve needs to work with patience - Allegri

Juventus have performed worse than in previous seasons, but Allegri is optimistic about his team's future.

Juventus

boss Max Allegri has claimed that despite his side's ups and downs in Serie A, they will continue to work in peace.

Juventus lost 4-0 to

Chelsea

in their last Champions League match and are eighth in Serie A, 11 points behind leaders Napoli and

AC Milan

. Juventus have also lost two of their six home games in Serie A, the first time since the 1980-81 season.

However, in the last nine Serie A games, only the top two, AC Milan (22) and Napoli (20), have gained more points than Juventus (19). Allegri, however, claimed that they would continue on their way in peace.

"The president asked me to return to work with the club to help Juventus return to being sustainable, obtaining results,"

Allegri told reporters.

"We will put all our effort into making this happen, the team needs to work and it takes patience.

"We need to keep calm and continue working, the team is excellent. We have scored fewer goals than we would have liked and the numbers show it.

"Football has evolved, but there is no escape from the goal difference: this is how championships are won.

"We have an important month to gain a few points. Tomorrow is not decisive, I think the most important matches will be the last six of the first round."
