Ralph Ragnick to take charge at Man Utd as interim manager

Thu 25 November 2021 | 16:04

Ralph Ragnick has agreed to join the Red Devils on a six-month contract.

After a series of poor results and suffering from lack of form since the beginning of the new season,

Manchester United

finally decided to part ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following the Red Devils’ 4-1 loss to Watford in a Premier League clash on Saturday.

Former Man Utd star Michael Carrick replaced Solskjaer as the interim boss while the club has been searching the market for a new manager since the sacking of the Norwegian tactician.

Paris Saint-Germain

boss Mauricio Pochettino was rumored to be United’s primary target to replace the Norwegian boss, however,

The Athletic UK

announced a few minutes ago that Manchester have reached an agreement to appoint

Ralph Ragnick

as the interim manager on a six-month deal.

Ragnick, however, will not be in charge of Man Utd in the Red Devils’ Premier League clash against

Chelsea

on Sunday.

It is worth mentioning that Ragnick’s move to Old Trafford is bound to his current club’s (Lokomotiv) approval to release the German tactician, although United do not expect this to be problematic.
