Pitso Mosimane’s men took the lead in the second half when Hamdi Fathi found the back of the net in the 67th minute of the game to secure their fourth consecutive victory in their first four games of the domestic competition.

Al Ahly started the match with a dominant style making the opposition’s goalkeeper make a lot of saves. Egypt national team’s high-profile striker Mohamed Sherif, who had scored in his side’s last two games against National Bank of Egypt FC and Zamalek alongside the South Africa international Percy Tau, who was one of the most important players for his side even though he hasn’t scored in the club or national team games.

Despite Al Ahly’s dominance, they weren’t making any serious opportunities, and the visitors even created some chances which weren’t converted to goals, and when they did find the net by Mohamed Farouka, the goal was disallowed for offside.

And finally, in the 68th minute of the game, Al Ahly’s defender Hamdi Fathi scored his first goal of the season to secure the victory for his side.
