Fri 19 November 2021 | 13:12

The Spanish coach is not interested in talking about the possible separation of his team's striker.

Arsenal

boss Mikel Arteta has avoided talking about the future of

Alexandre Lacazette

in the club, claiming that there is a lot of talk about the French striker.

Lacazette joined Arsenal in 2017 and at the end of the season, with the end of his contract, he can leave his team as a free agent. There has been no word yet on a contract extension, with some rumors of his departure in January, but Arteta declined to comment about the issue, claiming that there is “so much talk” around the France international.

He said:

“There is so much talk.

“What I can say is that I’m really happy with what Laca is doing at the moment, and I’ve said that we are not going to be talking about any of that until the end of the season.”

Apart from Lacazette, Mohamed Elneny will also be a free agent at the end of the season, with rumors suggesting he could play in the Turkish league and

Besiktas

, but the Spanish coach sees the 29-year-old midfielder in his plans.

He added:

“Again, I’m really happy with Mo. I won't be discussing individually other players, and it’s no time to do so.”
