Egypt

in the World Cup qualifier clash. Egypt were 2-0 down but they leveled the game courtesy of goals from

Mohamed Elneny

and

Akram Tawfik

.

Ahmed Hegazi

revealed that the team weren’t at their best during the whole game but he is pleased to see his side earning one point from the draw.

“Our goal was to qualify, we did not start properly and this gave Angola an advantage, but our performance improved at the end of the first-half and the beginning of the second,”

Hegazi said in a post-match interview.

“Coming back after being two goals down in an away stadium shows the character of the Egyptian team. We were able to win in the second half, but the result is acceptable to a large extent.

he concluded.
