Bergamo’s local authorities are concerned about the Red Devils fans coming for the clash against Atalanta in the Champions League and they will ban the alcohol sale.

fans will fly from England for the clash against

on Tuesday after La Dea’s 3-2 loss at Old Trafford.

Local authorities in Italy are usually worried about potential crowd trouble, so they have to take some measures to reduce the risk of danger to the historic buildings as well as public order problems.

Alcohol above 5 per cent is not going to be sold from Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning in bars, restaurants and shops in Bergamo Alta and around the stadium.

Glass bottle drinks’ sale is also going to be banned, even those with no alcohol.

Bergamo has only had fans for the Champions League games this season as during the first campaign they featured at San Siro in Milan, whereas last season the game was played behind closed doors due to the pandemic.
