After the game, the Catalan fans got on the coach's car which finally managed to get out. It seems that the fans insulted the Dutch coach and asked him to leave Barcelona as soon as possible.
The former defender has admitted he considered confronting those who mobbed his car, revealing
: "There was a moment I thought about getting out, but then I thought I better not. I understand people aren't happy but you don't expect that. There's a lot of 'Tik Tok' and they want you to get involved with them.
"At the end of the day, it's a societal problem, an education problem, people without values. It wasn't just me, it was other players and their families [receiving abuse] too. It also happened to Carles Puyol."
