Barca’s Gavi the youngest starter of Clasico in the 21st century

He was named Spain’s youngest player this month as he pulled off an impressive display in their semi-final victory over Italy in the Nations League.

Now, he is named in the starting XI of El Clasico and at the age of 17 years and 80 days, he will play alongside Busquets and Frenkie de Jong, being the youngest Clasico starter since the turn of the century.

Ansu Fati

, who met the back of the net twice since coming back from his long injury, is having his second start this season and Sergino Dest and Memphis Depay will be in Barca’s frontline.

Fati has gotten Lionel Messi’s number at Barcelona is still the youngest to have made an appearance in Clasico this century at the age of 17 years and 48 days in 2019.

Gerard Pique will be with Oscar Mingueza and Eric Garcia in the defence and Jordi Alba will feature on the left.

Sergio Aguero will be on the bench once against.

Madrid

have gone into the clash at Camp Nou to win twice for the third time, with Carlo Ancelotti having a lot of experience in Clasico.

Ballon d’Or nominee Karim Benzema is chosen up top, with Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in midfield. David Alaba, on the other hand, is going to have his Clasico debut in defence.
